We did an incredible food tour with Secret Food Tours throughout East Nashville! One of our stops brought us to Edley's Bar-B-Que. we got to try the Catfish Taco and the Banana Pudding! The Catfish Taco was INCREDIBLE - my favorite entree we tried on the tour! It was perfectly crispy, delectable at every bite, and the cole slaw on top was perfectly tangy. The Banana Pudding was incredible, too. I'm personally not a big fan of banana pudding, but I found it to be perfectly sweet! It was the perfect balance of vanilla and banana flavor. And it had the perfect creamy texture! I would definitely come back in the future for both items and to try other menu items.

Solid barbecue in a family friendly restaurant. Straightforward counter service which streamlined the experience for us. We shared the pork ribs, brisket, smoked sausage, and the burnt ends. The ribs were my favorite of the meats. They were very soft with a moderate sized bark and plenty of sauce. Sides here were superb! We shared the grits casserole, baked beans, potato salad, and the coleslaw. The grits casserole was one of the most complex takes on grits and a pint could be it's own meal. Slaw was on the vinegary side a provided a great compliment to the meats. Beans were savory and tender. Potato salad was solid too! Service was very friendly and patient. It was counter service, but the cashier went out of his way to check on us and make sure we were satisfied. There were two gender neutral, single occupancy restrooms though only one was accessible at the time.

I do love me some Edley's! This location at the corner of Woodland and 10th in East Nashville/Five Points has a solid vibe and is a good spot for lunch or dinner. A few of my go-to favorites here are the burnt ends, cornbread, and the grits casserole. That grit casserole is an absolute must each time we visit! The greens are good as well, but they pack a punch with the heat, unexpectedly...you have been warned! The pulled chicken sandwich is also a household favorite. But nothing on the menu beats those burnt ends on grits casserole. We had all of above on our recent visit, plus the macaroni and cheese. However, I have to admit, I was a little disappointed in the mac and cheese, as it was a bit underwhelming and very loose in texture. Additionally, the sweet tea, which is normally a favorite, didn't hit the mark this time. It wasn't sweet at all, and honestly, it was just not good. I actually thought I had accidentally gotten unsweet tea, but nope, it was just off. Parking can be tricky in this area, but there are several lots and street parking nearby. Service is limited given the counter ordering and self serve drink station. The cashier was friendly and helpful, and the food runners were nice. Overall, we are fans of Edley's! We frequent the Donelson location a bit more, but this is a solid option when in the Five Points area.

We had to venture past our immediate area to find some truly excellent bbq. I made the mistake of ordering a smash burger - not that it wasn't good. It was quite good, but my husband's meal was quite excellent. You can't go wrong with this one!

The best barbecue spot in Tennessee! The parking was a little confusing so you can get it validated , but it's worth the wait to order . While visiting Tennessee or for a local you must their brisket, it was delicious and juicy . The platter was the best option so you can try different types of meats and with the amazing sides like Mac and cheese.. we were stuffed ! Super friendly staff and great atmosphere.. definitely felt like a typical barbecue spot !

Edleys is one of my all time favorite bbq spots! We used to have one in Lexington KY for a brief period of time before the pandemic wreaked havoc and caused ours to close. Unfortunately for us we no longer have one in town and must busy Nashville to have this wonderfully delicious bbq. We decided to stop at Edley's on our way home from Nashville this week and decided to get a couple pounds of pulled pork and Mac and cheese to have for some meals at home this week. It came out hot and fresh and tightly wrapped to seal in the freshness. I cant wait to enjoy it when we get home. From past experience I know this will not disappoint. This was my first visit to the east neighborhood location and it's a little confusing to find. We were not sure on parking so my husband waited in the car while I ran in. I noticed when I was ordering they do validate parking at 1000 woodland for up to 1.5hrs. You scan the QR code at the register to do this. We will keep this in mind for next time. Also for those of you that value awards. Edley's has been ranked best bbq several years running. Don't miss out on this gem if in Nashville TN.

One of our favorite BBQ joints in East Nashville. The pulled pork is competition-grade goodness: Smoky, lean but juicy, and seasoned just-so. The brisket is done perfectly with that smoke ring you look for in a product that's been lovingly cared for in the smoker. I had catfish tacos (I know, I know....) and they were (ahem) "The best catfish tacos I've ever had in a Bar-b-Que joint." The catfish was tasty, battered in a light, crispy shell. But, as a Mexicano myself, the tortilla was a letdown and there was way too much "secret sauce" that made the tacos a little "wet" to eat. To finish, we split an order of banana pudding and this alone is worth a return trip to Edley's! It was 99% as good as my wife's banana pudding (known worldwide as the best banana pudding on the planet).

As a food reviewer, I cannot help but emphasize the key highlights that make Edley's stand out. The menu is a testament to barbecue mastery, featuring an assortment of mouthwatering options such as:
